I asked the doctor why my ears hurt all the time, and she said it’s because the ears are so close to the throat that my brain automatically assumes that since my throat is sore, my ears must be sore, too. So there’s not actually anything wrong with them, they just ache terribly because my brain thinks that they should. How annoying is that?!
I just want to be able to eat something without wincing and tearing up.
I just want to be able to quench my thirst.
I just want to see my friends.
I just want to be able to laugh and talk freely.
I just want to go to the shoe store.
I just want to have enough energy to do my hair and put on some makeup.
I just want to not wake up in tears.
I just want to see my horse.

I mean wtf?! I'm being tested for mono, strep and tonsillitis here! Do you think I want to hear about how young I look, wearing no makeup and having just dragged myself out of bed to come to this stupid clinic because my test results were LOST when I did all this shit originally on Saturday?!
