Bitch Magazine’s analysis of the Huffington Post’s linkbaiting technique is especially resonant because I doubt many people have even caught it. As a regular reader of the HuffPo, I myself have obviously seen these articles and techniques on a regular basis, but it took this video specifically pointing it out to me for me to even take notice. Because we are so consistently berated with this type of attention-grabbing, it hardly even makes an impression on us anymore (at least not consciously).
I would be interested to see what would happen to HuffPo’s readership if the site removed such forms of linkbaiting.
Awesome video. Can anyone tell me what this woman’s name is? I adore her.
Why I don’t read HuffPo.
And they published some fatphobic bullshit that linked to my blog once.

This is fantastic. HuffPo has always bothered me; I could never fathom it’s popularity or its reputation as a reliable...
This is seriously worth watching.
Her name is Anita Sarkesian and she is awesome.
I can’t take seriously anything linked from HuffPo anymore. I haven’t been able to for a long time.
I know I said I’d limit my reblogging, but this video’s an exception.
